The right line depends on your exposure, your budget, and whether the opening is stucco or wood siding. We will tell you which on the estimate.

Every new window ships with a U-Factor and a solar heat gain number printed on a sticker in the corner. Lower is better on both. Ask everyone bidding your job to show you theirs.
Title 24 is California's energy code. For windows it sets maximum U-Factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient values, and the NFRC sticker is what proves the unit complies. We leave those stickers on until you have read them.
